Scaling a Business Through Mindfulness: Genevieve King on Childhood Education and Environmental Sustainability

Mindfulness. Have you heard of it?

An entrepreneur, we are always striving to find a balance in our life and one of the best ways, advocated by our guest today Genevieve King, is through mindfulness. This does not have to be through long meditation sessions, but instead can be focused on centering the mind through simple transitions in our everyday lives.

This episode also goes into Genevieve’s career as a childhood educator, how she realized that teaching sustainability and love for our Earth should begin at the youngest ages. Genevieve fell in love with teaching young children in daycare and preschool and created an education and curriculum around sustainability that is now accessible to anyone.

As an entrepreneur and educator from Montana, Genevieve brings over 25 years of experience in early childhood education and environmental sustainability. In 2011, she founded Origins Education, blending her expertise in sustainability with early education and grew Origins to 4 brick and mortar locations by 2019. Her Origins Curriculum integrates academic nature-based learning with eco-literacy, and mindfulness, empowering children with a global perspective. Passionate about the environment, organic food, and photography, Genevieve's work is rooted in fostering a deep connection between children and nature, embodying her commitment to nurturing future generations of eco-conscious individuals.
