2 Additional Web Pages you should think about adding to your Freelance Website
Dynamic Page (Podcast/Blog)
Incorporating a dynamic page, such as a podcast or blog, on your freelance website can significantly enhance your credibility and authority in your niche, but more importantly, it’s important for SEO. Search engines favor websites that are updated often. I brought my site from page 11 to page 3 on a google search just by constantly updating a blog.
Not only is it great for SEO, but it helps you showcase your talents.
Fun story - I once had a client sign on with me because I had a blog. They told me:
“Anyone can hire a writer to write a webpage. I could hear your tone of voice and get a feel for you throughout your blog posts.”
Sharing insights, tips, and industry updates through a podcast or blog allows you to showcase your expertise and position yourself as a thought leader in your field. By offering valuable content to your audience, you establish yourself as a go-to resource for industry-related information and advice.
Testimonials Page
What did I do when I had no clients and wanted a testimonial page?
I did free work for a friend and asked for a testimonial.
I reached out to past colleagues that I trusted and had worked with or for and they wrote me one for my webpage.
Testimonials are powerful social proof that can persuade potential clients to choose you over your competitors. It’s hard when you start out because you don’t have any. But get creative! Offer to work for free for two to three people just so you can get that testimonial. Testimonials are social proof and GOLD. I can’t stress how important it is to have this page as soon as you’re able to.
Positive testimonials from satisfied clients reinforce your credibility and reassure potential clients that you can deliver results. They provide real-life examples of your work quality, professionalism, and client satisfaction, making it easier for prospects to trust and engage with you.
Seeing glowing reviews from happy clients instills confidence in potential clients and reduces any hesitations they may have about working with you. Testimonials serve as endorsements of your skills and reputation, making it more likely for prospects to reach out and inquire about your services.
Always, always, always ask current clients for a testimonial. In today’s day of Yelp, google reviews, Airbnb - basically anything online - everyone is looking for reviews.
By incorporating a dynamic page and testimonials page into your freelance website, you can enhance your credibility, showcase your expertise, and build trust with potential clients. These additional pages provide valuable opportunities to engage with your audience, demonstrate your capabilities, and differentiate yourself from competitors in your industry.
